ABOUT ME
Dr. Ambur is a double board-certified Dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon who serves the greater San Diego community in private practice with Sharp Community Medical Group. He completed his dermatology residency at the Kansas City University-GME Consortium/Advanced Dermatology in Orlando, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. During his training, he gained extensive experience in Mohs micrographic surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, surgical and complex medical dermatology, laser procedures, cosmetic injectables. His broad expertise allows him to care for patients of all ages—from complex surgical cases to chronic skin conditions and aesthetic concerns. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Mohs Surgery.
EXPERIENCE
Deeply involved in academic dermatology, Dr. Ambur has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications, case reports, and review articles in leading journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, and the International Journal of Dermatology. He also serves as a peer-reviewer for several respected medical journals, reflecting his dedication to clinical excellence and advancing the dermatologic surgical specialty.
